Any organization that has 10 or more collection locations

Collection locations can be different floors, different buildings or buildings in different cities.  Anywhere you want to have a "collection" place with a box and flyers.

Large Recyclers are also organizations that have:

An owner/owners for the recycling program like an employee sustainability team, quality of work life group, or just a group of employees or members that care about the environment

Approvals, if required, already in place

A commitment to recycling long term to change recycling

behavior

A communication/participation plan in place that communicates in many ways, through many vehicles and repeatedly over and over.  People do need to be told multiple times!

Our Marketing Support

We will provide you with custom flyers and other marketing materials to help you with the "visible" portion of your communication plan.  You need to do the email blast, intranet, newsletter, press release, public service announcements, etc. but we can provide you with templates for all of your communications.

We will also do web page order forms specifically for your organization so individuals in multiple locations can order supplies.

Large Recyclers Pallet Pickup

If you are already recycling at a large organization we can pick up inkjet, cell phone or laser pallets.

Large Recyclers are locations that reach a consistent number of employees, students, members, etc. all year long.

This enables people to have access to recycling long enough to change their recycling behavior and in a convenient location that will keep them recycling.

Constant access to recycling is what gets people to make the behavior change to ongoing recycling.  This means having recycling at work, at school - - - the places we all go day after day.

These programs make the biggest impact in increasing recycling rates over school, non-profit or other programs that may not stay in place consistently, long term.  These are programs in business, government offices, at universities, etc. that are offering recycling to their own employees, students or members at their place of work or school where it is convenient and constantly available.

We buy "green" products and carry reusable shopping bags but we still throw these plastic electronics in the trash.

People will not go out of their way to recycle these small items, so if recycling isn't available at a place they go to frequently where they can recycle when they have an empty cartridge or old cell phone, they'll consistently throw them away.

This is why work place and university recycling programs are not only very effective, but becoming necessary to make a dent in the high volume of cartridges and cell phones that are not being recycled.
